Inspiring a love of art and reading. The interplay of these two can open up a child to a colourful world of imagination, wonder and a love of learning.
KINDYART CLASS
KindyArt is brand new and will be open for business in Term 2 2014.
We offer fun and relaxed art classes for 2-5 year olds accompanied by a parent/ carer. Each lesson will be inspired by and created from a picture book read at the beginning of each class. Your little artist will be delighted to see the book come to life as they create their own art piece that focuses on a particular art technique each week. Your little artists will get their hands on a wide variety of arty materials including paints, crayons, chalk pastels, oil pastels, glue, clay, charcoal and much more! KindyArt kids will be presented at the end of each term with a laminated A4 certificate showcasing their art work. This is a lovely way for parents and kids to keep a record of their art work.
SKILLS FOR SCHOOL
While KindyArt kids are having fun being arty they are also learning many skills to get them ready for school. Some of these skills include recognizing patterns, shapes and colors, pencil grip, practicing fine motor skills, pre-reading skills, making marks ready for writing, working on eye-hand coordination, following simple instructions, working together, appreciating art, being creative and building confidence to have a go!
KINDYART TEACHER- KIM PERKINS
KindyArt is created and run by a registered Primary School Teacher who loves and appreciates the benefits that art can provide for kids of all ages. Kim Perkins is also a mother of two boys (4 and 7). KindyArt classes are run in a self contained home art studio located at Thorneside.
FEES
Bookings are made in 10 week blocks ( per school term)
Maximum of 6 children per class.
All materials and use of art smocks provided.
Each child takes home a certificate displaying their art work for the term.
- 10 week block: $150.00
- 10 week block for first timers :$135.00 (includes free trial lesson)
Fees are due by the second week of the block.
Payments can be made by direct bank transfer or cash.
If there is a spot you may join during the block and fees will be adjusted.

Register your interest for Friday class by messaging KindyArt. If we gather enough little artists we will run a Friday 9:45am class.
TRIAL CLASSES
Trial class one: Tuesday 22nd April.
Trial class two: Thursday 24th April.
KindyArt reserves the right to cancel a class due to unforeseen circumstances. The class will be made up at a later date.
Make up lessons are available within the current term block.
